It still feels like yesterday when I walked down the streets of Barcelona for the first time. I got wowed from looking at one monument to the next. At some point I just abandoned all thoughts of using a map because the interesting things just kept popping up everywhere as I walked. La Sacrada familia Cathedral is a piece of history which I was humbled to see. Still under construction, La Sagrada Família will take longer to complete than the Egyptian pyramids. It started in 1882 and is hoped to be completed in 2026, though it might not be finished until as late as 2040. The Great Pyramid, by comparison, only took 20 years. This Cathedral was packed with visitors and one of them was this wide eyed naija girl who was just soaking everything in. #Driplist #DecemberToRemember #DripList2018Highlights

• PALACE • The architecture and design of this place (built in 1782) is amazingly bold, daring and (to me) ahead of its time. Talking about being ahead of time, did you know that in Thailand, they use the Buddhist calendar which is 543 years ahead of the Gregorian calendar? That means it’s currently the year 2561. Okay bye while I have fun in the future 😂✌🏾 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #thailand #palace #grandpalacebangkok #bangkok #columns #architecture #travelblogger #travelphotography #naijablogger #adventure #aheadoftime #beautiful #amazing #photography #nigerianbloggers #holiday #vacation #december #madtravel #styleandtravel #sheisnotlost #traveladdict #wanderlust #wanderlusting #girlsofcolourthatwander #nigerianblogger #nigerian #travelblog #travelling #travelwithjayj

8 countries, 14 cities, 14 islands, wow! I’ve had some of the best travel moments in my life in 2018. This year I wanted to do more meaningful solo travel. By travelling solo, I fed my soul and rediscovered myself in a completely different way. I immersed myself in new travel experiences, from snowsledging for the first time to hiking a mountain with friends for charity and bathing overworked elephants who have suffered from working long hours in the logging and tourism industry. I stayed present most times and travelled without fear knowing that God is always with me. I had still moments, laughable moments and teachable moments. I had the most amazing conversations with strangers. I learnt some new skills and was educated by locals. Thankful for the opportunity to travel. Here’s to more meaningful travel in 2019 🥂

Bali is definitely at the top of my list for places to visit again next year, i fell in love with the country & culture after my visit at the beginning of this year and it propelled me to want to travel more & see what the rest of the world has to offer. 🌸– -Decided to visit again next year, this time with a group of likeminded women from around the world. I have been able to meet and chat with so many young professionals like me who love to travel so naturally I thought a Girls Trip travel meet up would be so much fun! – – I have rented out 2 luxury villas in Bali and will be hosting, exploring and hanging out with a small group of women. I wanted to make this trip ultra glam but affordable with the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation & cultural immersion. There will be everything from a private chef, driver & photographer to floating breakfast & fun activities. Click the link in my bio to find out more & sign up.💕🥂🕺🏽 – – Edit: I will be planning many more travel meet ups like this next year so follow @chidiashleytravels for the latest updates ❤
