Restaurant Of The Week | South Eatery & Social House
SAMBA LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING AND THEN EAT
What happens when you forget your girl’s birthday? You take her out for dinner to celebrate and dance the night away.
When we arrived, Budweiser was having a world cup activation so we waited outside on the swings till it cleared up.
We made our way to the seating area upstairs where we could look down at the bar and the birthday shenanigans began.
Orders were taking promptly and the music was blaring. The music was so good that we got up and danced till our meals came. Even those downstairs had to look up at us. The best part hands down was when they did a salsa, samba thing with glasses and cocktail shakers. It was just a great way to unwind and let our hair down.
After working up our appetites, we were ready to eat.
For our starter we got the dirty south fries, boneless chicken, jambalaya, herb roasted chicken & a few cocktails.
On social media, someone had commented before we went that they thought their food portions were tiny so we were worried. However we were pleasantly surprised when the food came out.
We dug into our meals and we were satisfied and honestly our waitress was a superstar. She was patient with our order as we kept going back and forth with our drinks and making slight changes.
She also took the time out to explain our bill when we got confused.
After eating we just chatted the rest of the evening till it was time to go home.
It was definitely a pleasant evening and the birthday girl had fun. Everything (starters, main & drinks) cost us about N33,000.
Will we be going back to South? It could happen.
