EId-el Fitr: Govt approves payment of May salaries to civil servants

The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has approved the payment of May, 2020 salaries of civil servants in the state ahead of Eid-el Fitr celebration.

Already, the State Accountant General has been directed to ensure that the salaries are paid on or before the 20th of the month.

This development is to enable workers, including pensioners enjoy a happy Ei-el Fitr celebrations.

Governor Bala Mohammed assures civil servants of the commitment of his administration to prompt payment of salaries in addition to other reforms introduced to ensure effective service delivery.

The Governor has equally enjoined them to ensure total compliance with all the protocols against the infectious COVID-19 pandemic.

Bauchi Gov Mohammed reveals result for second coronavirus test

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has announced the result for his second coronavirus test.

Mohammed, via his Twitter account, disclosed that the follow-up test returned negative.

He expressed gratitude to God and thanked everyone for their prayers.

“Alhamdulillah. I just received the green light. My second test for #COVID19 returned negative. I thank you all for your prayers & support even while I was in isolation.

“Most importantly, all the praises & thanks be to Allah – the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. #GreaterBauchi”, he tweeted.

Bala Mohammed, a former FCT Minister, tested positive a fortnight ago.

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, suffered a similar fate.

However, he tested negative early in the week and has since resumed official duties.

Nigeria currently has 276 cases of coronavirus.
